नमस्कार महामंत्र

णमो अरहंताणं णमो सिद्धाणं णमो आयरियाणं णमो उवज्झायाणं णमो लोए सव्वसाहूणं एसो पंच णमुक्कारो, सव्व पावपणासणो। मंगलाणं च सव्वेसिं, पढमं हवइ मंगलं।।

I bow to the Arihants. An Arihant is an enlightened soul who has conquered all inner enemies, manifested Keval Jnana, and still resides in a physical body while guiding others. For example, Lord Mahavira was an Arihant after attaining Keval Jnana and before Nirvana. I bow to the Siddhas. A Siddha is a completely liberated, bodiless soul that has destroyed all karmas, attained moksha, and resides eternally at the apex of the universe, above Siddhashila. For example, Lord Mahavira became a Siddha after Nirvana. I bow to the Acharyas. An Acharya is the supreme head of a monastic order who governs the entire community, ensuring spiritual discipline and religious conduct. Examples include Acharya Bhikshu, Acharya Tulsi, Acharya Mahapragya, and Acharya Mahashraman. I bow to the Upadhyayas. An Upadhyaya is a master of scriptures and spiritual philosophy who deeply studies and teaches the Jain Agamas to other seekers. I bow to all monks and nuns in the universe. Sadhus are those who have renounced all worldly attachments, embraced the five great vows (Mahavratas), and dedicated their lives to strict spiritual practice. Examples include Jain monks and nuns. This fivefold salutation entirely destroys all sins and negative karmic tendencies. Among all auspicious things in the universe, this Mahamantra is the highest, noblest, and foremost auspiciousness.
